Tactical Shit is moving two Team Wendy ballistic helmets at blowout prices. The Big Brain Bucket Blowout is the EXFIL Ballistic SL. The Little Brain Bucket Blowout is the EPIC Specialist Ballistic High Cut. Both are current shells. Both are in stock. The price is the overstock deal.
Who
Team Wendy started in 1997 in Cleveland, named for Wendy Moore. She died from a traumatic brain injury after a ski accident. Her father, Dan T. Moore, built the company around that loss. Early work was ski-helmet research. In 2004 the shop answered a military call for a better combat liner, and the pads became the standard. Team Wendy supplied the liner system for the Army, the Marine Corps, and the National Guard, and it has moved millions of pad sets. The foam that came out of that TBI work is Zorbium. It is still the comfort and impact liner inside the helmets on these sale pages. Avon Technologies bought the company in November 2020. The brief did not change: protect the people who take the risk, and build the helmet from the inside out.
The sale is at shop.tacticalshit.com. Tactical Shit has been around since 2013, built around gear, armor, and the kit that sits next to the rifle. This drop is that lane, with two Team Wendy ballistic helmets at closeout pricing and the lowest price the shop has put on them.
What
Big Brain is the Team Wendy EXFIL Ballistic SL, L/XL, at $1,199.99. That is more than $700 off normal price. Team Wendy’s own shop lists the EXFIL SL Ballistic from $1,994. The listing compare-at sits at $1,199. Lowest price ever on the light flagship.
Little Brain is the EPIC Specialist Ballistic High Cut at $779.99. Same blowout: more than $700 off normal price, and the door into Team Wendy ballistic helmets starting under $800.
Both are high-cut ballistic helmets, night-vision ready, cut to clear comms and ear pro around the ears.
The EXFIL SL is the weight saver. Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene in Team Wendy’s composite matrix, about 15 percent lighter than the original EXFIL Ballistic, same shell shape so the fit stays familiar. Complete system weight is 2.22 pounds in M/L and 2.31 pounds in XL, shell, rails, liner, and retention included. Ballistic rating is NIJ Level IIIA. Fragment performance is a 17-grain V50 at or above 2,400 feet per second. Backface deformation on the 9mm test stays under 25.4 mm. Blunt impact exceeds the ACH requirement. Retention is the boltless CAM FIT system with a BOA dial, so the fit locks in one-handed. Rails are EXFIL Rail 3.0, about 25 percent lighter than Rail 2.0, and the Wilcox SL shroud is about 35 percent lighter than the older W shroud. Liner is the SL Air Fit with Zorbium pads, sixteen comfort pads in two thicknesses, center pad removable for overhead comms. The shroud takes the NVG mount. A shock-cord kit is in the box for goggle stability.
The EPIC Specialist is the special-response bucket. Ceradyne seamless shell technology, no thru-holes, so the panel stays consistent across the whole shell. Built for SWAT and special response, lighter than a legacy ACH, and still NIJ IIIA. Team Wendy’s sheet puts fragment performance at a 17-grain V50 at or above 2,560 feet per second, with 9mm backface at or under 25.4 mm, and blunt impact that meets ACH Gen II. High-cut complete weights run about 2.64 pounds in small up to about 3.08 pounds in XL. It comes with a durable aluminum NVG shroud, rails, exterior loop patches, the EPIC Air Fit liner with Zorbium, and CAM FIT retention. Ear clearance, night vision, and helmet-mounted gear are the point of the cut.
When and where
The blowout is live now. Both listings are in stock, priced as a closeout. No end date is posted, so the smart move is to grab the deals while they last.

Why the price is this good
These are current helmets. The EXFIL SL is still the light flagship, the one Team Wendy built for users who count ounces. The EPIC Specialist is still the seamless-shell special-response helmet, outfitted for the kit a SWAT or riot team member hangs on a shell. Warranty on the SL ballistic package runs up to five years from delivery. The EPIC ballistic package is listed up to ten years from manufacture.
The discount is an overstock deal. Tactical Shit is running it as the Big Brain and Little Brain Bucket Blowout: lowest price ever, closeout priced, over $700 off normal price, helmets starting under $800. That is how a $1,994-class EXFIL SL lands at $1,199.99, and how a Team Wendy high-cut ballistic shell lands at $779.99.
Why these buckets earn the price
Team Wendy’s edge has always been the inside of the helmet. A shell can stop the round and still pass the hit to the brain. Zorbium and the pad layout came out of years of TBI work, which is the whole reason the company exists. CAM FIT and the BOA dial are the other half: a secure, adjustable fit without drilling the shell to get it. On the EPIC, the seamless Ceradyne shell matches that idea from the outside. No thru-holes, consistent performance across the panel, structural integrity kept intact.
High cut is the practical win for anyone running ear pro, a comms headset, or a light on the rail. Both listings are set up for that, and both are shroud-ready for night vision. The SL gives you the lighter Wilcox shroud, the lighter Rail 3.0, and the lighter complete system. The EPIC gives you the seamless shell, the aluminum shroud, and a high-cut platform built for special response. Different jobs. Same family. Same blowout.
Measure the head before you order. Team Wendy’s note on the SL is worth keeping: between sizes, take the larger, then tune the fit with the pads in the box. L/XL is the Big Brain listing. The Little Brain high cut is the sub-$800 door into the same brand.
If the EXFIL SL is the helmet you have been pricing, $1,199.99 is the blowout number. If you want the EPIC Specialist high cut under $800, with over $700 off normal price, that deal is open too. Both are in stock. Both are Team Wendy. The overstock is why these deals look like this.
