Beretta announced this week that the company is pausing production of one of its most popular tactical shotguns due to importation issues.
“An unexpected decision by ATF is affecting the importation of certain components essential to the assembly of the 1301 Tactical 7+1 in the U.S.,” notes the company. “Beretta USA is in active discussions with the ATF to fully understand the scope of these regulatory interpretations. The company is committed to collaborating with regulatory authorities to resolve this matter and continue serving its valued customers.”
Beretta notes that the pause does not impact existing inventory on dealers’ shelves and that “Customers interested in owning the 1301 Tactical 7+1 are encouraged to purchase it while supplies last.”
Meanwhile, the company intends to debut a new 1301 Tactical C, a 5+1 configuration of the well-liked shotgun.
