President Donald Trump met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Ahmedabad on Monday, which drew crowds of over 100,000 people at the Sardar Patel Stadium, with the President calling for the strengthening of relations between the two countries. At the “Namaste Trump rally,” President Trump said “The first lady and I have just traveled 8,000 miles around the globe to deliver a message to every citizen across this nation: America loves India, America respects India, and America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people.”
The President also announced a $3 billion defense deal with India, which consists of “the absolute finest, state-of-the-art military helicopters and other equipment to the Indian armed forces.”
