Denver police are reporting an active shooter situation with multiple victims Tuesday afternoon.
***UPDATE*** DENVER 5:44PM EST -(CBS4)– Shots were fired in the area of 15th and Wynkoop and victims were rushed to the hospital
after reports of a man with a gun shut down streets in Denver’s Lodo neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
Denver police tweeted out an update on the incident near the EPA offices and Office Depot.
Victims were rushed to the hospital. It is unclear how many victims there are or the extent of their injuries.
(FOX)- Paramedics took victims from scene of the shooting, at 15th and Wynkoop, just blocks from the University of Colorado Denver, to area hospitals, police confirmed.
Surrounding streets have been closed and people are being asked to avoid the area.
The first 911 call reported a male with a gun; details about the alleged shooter are not yet known.
