According to WSBT-TV, police in Cassopolis, Michigan, are looking into an alleged robber who was apprehended after pulling a knife and attempting to rob a gas station.
Witnesses said the guy drew a knife and demanded money before being shot; the suspect’s identity has not yet been made public. When police arrived on the scene, the person who shot the suspect was carrying his permit to carry a concealed weapon.
“The defendant, the armed robber … has been charged with armed robbery. Once he’s released from the hospital, he will enter the criminal justice system, where we will be seeking his extradition to the state of Michigan, where he faces life offense charges to two robberies,” said Victor Fitz, Cass County Prosecutor, WSBT reported.
Harjinder Singh, a gas station employee, told WXMI-TV that the incident startled him.
He claimed that after asking to use the restroom, the suspect walked to a store corner, put on a mask, and then came out, brandishing a knife and demanding money.
The next thing Singh knew, a good person with a gun had the suspect down to the ground after a loud bang.
The most recent assessment indicates that the suspect’s health is steady.
Even though Michigan has relatively strong gun restrictions, if it were more like New York, Illinois, or California, the theft might not have gone in the accused thief’s favor.

God has granted Americans the freedom to defend their person, their family, and their property. We will keep hearing stories like this up until the left is successful in banning these lawfully carrying firearms folks from carrying the weapons they used to save lives.
