A woman was killed and multiple other people were injured when an armed gunman entered the Poway synagogue with a rifle and opened fire. The suspect was ID’d as 19 year old San Diego man. We do not name or acknowledge shooters here.
Sheriff Bill Gore said a around 11:30am a “white male adult … with an AR-type assault weapon” walked in to the synagogue and started shooting according to Fox 5. Officials stated the shooting happened at Congregation Chabad, on Chabad Way near Espola Road and Rancho Bernardo Road.

FoxNews Reports that a 34-year-old man who was wounded when gunfire erupted inside a San Diego-area synagogue on Saturday was being praised as a hero for saving several children from a hail of bullets.
The gunman – identified by authorities as 19-year-old*********– allegedly opened fire with an assault-type rifle inside the Chabad of Poway synagogue as worshipers were prepared to celebrate the last day of Passover. A woman was killed and three people were injured.
“(The gunman) was just shooting, shooting, shooting, shooting. Like crazy. Just spraying,” said Danny Almog, whose friend Almog Peretz was shot in a leg while leading children to safety, FOX 5 San Diego reported.
Witnesses said Peretz grabbed children during the gunfire and ran with them to nearby exits.

A border patrol agent that was in attendance fired at the shooter missing him but hitting his vehicle as he fled. Had a good guy with a gun not been there things could have been much much worse!
