Another person shot in Ferguson.
FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man was shot on Canfield Drive in Ferguson.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, officials confirmed a shooting investigation was underway near the Canfield Green Apartments, which is where Michael Brown was fatally shot by Darren Wilson in 2014.
When officials arrived, they say they located a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was conscious and alert but his account of the incident was inconsistent with the physical evidence, according to police.
The victim was transported to the hospital. Two vehicles were struck by bullets.
Police say the evidence suggests there had been some type of altercation, which escalated to shots being fired. The victim was apparently chased on foot during the incident, according to police.
Police have confirmed this was not a random incident.
