It happens. You’ll be enjoying a nice relaxing shooting session at the range and something will break and sometimes it will require the use of a tool to repair. More often than not though not many people think to bring their punch kit and hammer to the range either because they dont think its necessary or there is enough room in their range bag. NCStar has a couple surprising solutions for this issue.
MagPopper Magazine Disassembly Tool – Glock
The innovative MagPopper tool will help you disassemble your Glock® magazines in seconds. Works with most factory Glock® flat floorplates. Works with 10 round, standard capacity, and high capacity Glock® magazines. Simply insert the hook from the small lever into the floor plate, rest the MagPopper body against the front of the magazine body. With one hand grasp the MagPopper and the magazine body and gently squeeze. The floor plate will slide forward and unlock from the side magazine tabs with very little effort. Caution magazines are under spring tension. After you have unlocked the floor plate, carefully slide/remove the floor plate, locking plate, spring, and follower from the magazine body for service/cleaning.
- MagPopper also features: a bottle opener, a hole on the main body for mounting onto key rings, and a ¼” hex hole for holding ¼” screwdriver bits.
- Compact design for convenient storage.
- Steel construction.
- US Patent Pending

Now while some people may knock NCStar for whatever reason they jump on the bandwagon with. I have been using both products for a bit now. The mag popper is built pretty stout and functions as advertised after being used again and again on numerous magazines. I have not had a single issue with quality or with breakage. Moving onto the Disassembly and front sight tool again. I have taken down my glock dozens of times using this tool. Its built better than the factory glock tool in my opinion and the front sight tool is better than a expensive brand name one I was using whose 3/16 tool was beveled and kept slipping off. Both tools are easily kept in a range bag and take up little to no space. I highly recommend these two.
