The hero journalist who used his martial arts skills to tackle the London Bridge terrorists has been left unable to speak after being stabbed in the neck.

Dramatic video recorded last night showed Geoff Ho clutching his throat as he staggered away from the scene just minutes after the terror attack.

Moments before, he had tweeted: ‘Don’t know whether it was stupid or noble to jump in and break up the fight outside the Southwark Tavern, but two a***s trying to do over the lone bouncer on the door isn’t happening on my watch.’

Geoff was stabbed at Southwark Tavern on Saturday night and rushed to hospital in an ambulance during the chaos.

He was bravely trying to break up what he believed was a standard Saturday night brawl.

Friend Gary Robinson said: ‘Geoff update is that he is stable but can’t talk. He is a true hero.

‘He took on the terrorists when three rushed in stabbing people 30 mins later, using his martial arts, he fought them off.

‘One missed him the other stabbed him in the throat (and possibly stomach). He was hurt protecting others.’

He added: ‘He is in intensive care but ‘doing well’ according to the doctor. Unbelievable bravery. God speed your recovery. Geoff Ho, proud to call you my friend.’

Another friend, named as Nadeem, said: ‘Many thanks for your prayers and wishes for Geoff today. I’ve also passed on your best wishes to his family who really appreciated all what you have said and done for their son.

‘For those who do want to see him, please go but he will not be able to talk and is groggy.

‘As mentioned Geoff is stable. He cannot talk though and will be monitored for a week as he has a tract.

‘Hero is a word not enough for Geoff, bless him, he took on three vile scum where one hit him in the neck. He has had surgery and the doctor was impressed by how calm he was in everything.

‘Dude is a legend who tried to help out the people who was being attacked. Bless him for his good natured heart

‘It pained me to see what happened to him but he will get through. Love you brother.’
