Police in Southern California found three people murdered inside a home Saturday and are searching for a 17-year-old girl who also lived there.
(FOX)- Officers responded to the home in Fullerton, 26 miles southeast of Los Angeles, at around 8:20 a.m. local time after a child called 911 to report that her parents had died. Inside, first responders discovered the bodies of two men and a woman. Two young children were found unharmed.
“Anytime someone loses their life it’s a tragedy,” Fullerton Police Sgt. Jon Radus said. “It’s even more of a tragedy when children are involved.”
Radus declined to release the children’s ages or their relationship to the three adults found inside the home, citing the ongoing investigation. He added that officials do not believe the deaths were a murder-suicide or a random act of violence.
The spokesman said detectives spent the day searching for the children’s sibling, identified as 17-year-old Katlynn Goodwill Yost.
“We’re concerned for her safety because we obviously haven’t been able to find her,” said Radus, who described Yost as a “missing/at-risk person.” A description issued by police said Yost stood 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighed about 150 pounds, with strawberry blond hair and dark eyes.
