NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) writes –
North Las Vegas police said they are investigating after a gun store was burglarized Friday morning.
The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. at New Frontier Armory on 150 East Centennial Parkway, near 5th Street.
The burglar broke the window of a vacant business next door, before cutting through the wall to get into the gun store.
Customers who frequent the store say it has at least a dozen surveillance cameras that likely caught the crime, but there is no word yet on if police will release that video.
The ATF and Department of Homeland Security were notified and responded to the scene. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
The owner of the store told FOX5 it appeared that one person broke into the store at approximately 4 a.m. and bypassed the security system.
Police did not immediately release the description of the suspect or suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
