President Biden’s son Hunter, a longstanding junkie and known drug abuser, has been charged with three counts of illegal firearm acquisition and possession while using narcotics. Two of the charges stem from Biden the younger lying on a 4473 background check form when he purchased a Colt Cobra revolver and indicated that he was not a drug user.
The third count is a charge of possessing a firearm while using an illegal narcotic.
The historic indictment against the son of a sitting president comes after a plea deal that might have ended a years-long probe into Hunter Biden fell apart and just as House Republicans have launched an impeachment inquiry in an effort to seek bank records and other documents from the president and his son.
The case is being overseen by special counsel David Weiss, who also headed the investigation.
That sweetheart deal was too sweet to get past a federal District Judge.
The agreement started to fall apart at the court appearance where it was expected to be finalized after the judge presiding over the case raised questions about some details. “The agreements are not straightforward and they contain some atypical provisions,” U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika noted, including one that could theoretically protect Biden from other tax-related crimes in the same time period.
President Biden, in his more lucent moments, has been less than candid about his son.
The White House has been largely silent on the investigation, but the president defended his son in an interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on May 5.
“First of all, my son has done nothing wrong,” the president said. “I trust him. I have faith in him.”
Nobody believes Hunter Biden was NOT misleading on that 4473 form.
And, as evidenced by images and other information found on his abandoned laptop, he was definitely using drugs while in possession of a handgun.
The gun in the above photo is obviously not a Colt Cobra. The Cobra was supposedly the gun his sister-in-law put in a trash can across the street from a school in a parking lot. What happened to all of Hunter Biden’s other weaponry, we’ve wondered – and few others appear to be concerned about. According to text texts, he had at least five more.
Curious minds desire to know. However, don’t hold your breath waiting for an answer.
Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that, with today’s move, special counsel David Weiss has charged Biden with the least serious crimes he’s been accused of committing, as well as those that are least politically embarrassing or inconvenient for his father, who is ostensibly running for reelection.
And so forth.
