NYC Bus Hijacked at Gunpoint, Then Crashes Into A Utility Pole…

On Thursday morning, a gunman hijacked an MTA bus in crime-ridden New York City, which ended up crashing into a utility pole.

According to police reports, the 44-year-old gunman, who reportedly said he was being chased at the time, ran onto a bus around 7 am in Queens and held the bus driver at gunpoint, demanding that he drive.

The driver opened the rear door of the bus so passengers could escape, and the driver was eventually able to jump out of a window while the bus was still in motion. Shortly after the driver escaped, the bus was sent crashing into a utility pole, causing a power outage for nearby residents.

The driver suffered minor injuries, which he has been treated for. The gunman, who has not yet been identified, was taken into custody at the scene.

It was later revealed by the NYPD that they found an “imitation pistol” on the bus.
