Peoria, Illinois — Sunday, February 2, 2020 at approximately 10:09 pm, Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 900 block of W Johnson St. While en-route, officers received additional information regarding a victim of a shooting inside of the Johnson Mini Mart (907 W Johnson St). Officers located the adult male victim just inside of the business with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Friday, February 7, 2020, the 14 year old suspect was arrested at the Peoria Police Department for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Mob Action with Injury. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. No further information was released.
