Walmart and Kroger Hop On The Anti-Gun Bandwagon!

Here we go… more corporate anti-gun bullshit and pandering to the left. It would seem that  neither company fully understands or has read the 2nd amendment. If you remember Target pushed a similar policy awhile back.

According to business insider Walmart is barring shoppers from openly carrying guns in its stores and ending the sale of some types of ammunition in response to two deadly shootings at its stores, the company said on Tuesday.

“After selling through our current inventory commitments, we will discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons,” Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said in a memo to employees on Tuesday.

He said the company would also end the sale of handguns in Alaska — the only state where Walmart sells handguns — and stop selling ammunition for all handguns nationwide.

Once again a company that knows nothing about guns is basing policy off ignorance and feelings. Highlighted in bold… We werent aware this was a thing but the stupidity doesn’t stop there additionally Walmart will be “respectfully requesting” that shoppers stop openly carrying firearms into its stores.

Of course other media outlets are now hopping onto the incorrect nomenclature as well.

Walmart isnt the only business taking this stance FoxNews writes that Kroger has made a similar “respectfu request” lasking that customers no longer openly carry firearms into our stores, other than authorized law enforcement officers,” Cincinnati-based Kroger said Tuesday. “We are joining those encouraging our elected leaders to pass laws that will strengthen background checks and remove weapons from those who have found to pose a risk for violence.”

While walmart takes a stance on its ammunition sales policy based on the two deadly shootings in its stores, both seem to blame recent incidents in which gun-carrying shoppers caused store evacuations as the reason its changed its policy regarding open carry. However, it would appear that policy won’t affect those who carry concealed firearms.

In-short thanks to Walmart for supporting your locally owned firearm and ammunition vendors. They will definitely appreciate the bump in business and the loss of yours!
