9-Month-Old Girl Tossed From Vehicle After Mom Fatally Shot During Carjacking in St. Louis

A baby was thrown from a stolen vehicle after a mother was carjacked and fatally shot on Washington Avenue Sunday night.

(KTLA)- Around 10:30 p.m. Brandi Hill, of O’Fallon, Missouri, her 9-month-old daughter and an acquaintance were inside a vehicle when two unknown suspects approached them on foot an announced a robbery in the 1100 block of Washington.

After announcing the robbery, one of the suspects shot Hill. Both suspects then got into the victim’s vehicle, which still had the infant inside, and drove from the scene, leaving the woman’s body in the middle of the street.

The stolen vehicle was driven to north St. Louis, where the baby, who was still in the car seat, was thrown from the vehicle at Angelica and 22nd.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered by police. Authorities told KMOV in St. Louis that the suspects attempted to set the vehicle on fire.

The baby was not harmed during the incident. She was released to a family member following the incident.

The suspects are still being sought, but information regarding them has not been released.
