Mr. Shush of Witt Machine comes to hang out at our undisclosed shooting location to show me and Alex, DynaDeath Milberg, their new SME or Sound Mitigation Equipment, how much sound does it mitigate us ask? Watch and Find Out!
There are many “blast cans” on the market today including the Noveske PIG, The Fortis Control Shield, Ferfrans CQB and the Surefire Warden to name a few. They all work to reduce pressure around the shooter and force the concussion of the blast from the muzzle brake down range. One thing is for certain though. They don’t work like this thing. We tested the Witt Machine SME (Sound Mitigation Equipment) with high end decibel meter and found that the SME reduces the sound at the shooters ears to nearly hearing safe levels while still being just as load as any other at the muzzle.
During the test I even did a full auto mag dump with a 10.3 inch barrel 5.56 with NO EAR PRO and I had NO EAR RINGING. Now lets take for granite that I have horrible high frequency hearing loss in my “Shooters Ear” which is my left ear, so it still may be damaging to virgin ears.
We first tested the SME with 220 Grain Grind Hard Sub Sonic 300 Blackout
Right ear- 131db
Left ear- 133db
Then we tested with a 14.5″ 556 shooting standard 55 grain .223
Right ear-131db
Left ear- 138db
According to the CDC Covid 19 is real and loud noises over 120db can cause intermediate hearing harm.
