A good Bipod does more than just prop your rifle up. There are several factors to consider when choosing the right Bi-pod for the job. For instance, You should consider how well it can adapt to uneven ground, How easy it is to deploy, or how stable or how durable they are when shooting off a barricade. The list can go on forever. But one thing has always remained true. Quality reigns. Ive gone threw a fair share of cheap bi-pods where screws back out, springs fly off,etc . Then its another 50-80 dollars for another bipod and repeat until finally I could have just bought a quality bi-pod for what I spent on all the cheap ones. It just goes to show the saying, “Mod Cheap Mod Twice.” still rings true.

Accu-Tac SR5
I was able to handle the Accu-Tac SR5 for a brief moment at the time of writing this article. For those couple minutes of giving it a once over I made a couple observations. First it is built pretty stout from high quality billet aircraft aluminum in the USA! I wouldn’t be afraid to jam the legs into the dirt for better traction or worry about breaking anything. Second the function ergonomics are simple and straight to the point. I don’t have to twist my wrist any strange direction to extend the legs or strain to flip a lever to release the bi-pod. I just pull straight out and the bi-pod rotates down or I pull straight down and the legs are out. Retracting them is just as simple. To retract the legs you just press on the retraction lever on the end of the leg and they retract spring assisted. Finally the best feature of the bi-pod is the quick detach attachment making install and removal a breeze. Despite the easy controls everything locks solid into place! I usually run an evolution bi-pod on my personal precision rifle.
Not only is the SR-5 Affordable but also seems to be a bit more robust than my Evo. I’m definitely considering throwing one on the Ruger to see how it holds up. Compared to lower bi-pods like the Harris or Caldwell it easily runs circles around them. I’ve ran through so many budget bi-pods before I finally budged and decided it was time to invest in a quality bi-pod I could have just bought a quality bi-pod to begin with. The SR-5 not only provides the quality desired but is slightly more affordable than its competitors.
Accu-Tac FC-10
Like the SR5, The Accu-Tac FC-10 QD F-Class Bipod with the quick detach was designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA. This bi-pod is perfect for long range, target, competition, and tactical shooting. As mentioned with the SR5 the FC 10 is also built like a freight train and is the most durable bi-pod on this list. Recently Tactical shit had a visit from Beck defense in which Beck defense brought one of their 510 becks. They liked the FC-10 so much they went ahead and kept it on the rifle.
