A search is underway for the suspects who gunned down a Ft. Campbell soldier right in front of his house early Sunday morning.
Police in Montgomery County, Tennessee have very few leads in this case and are asking for the public’s help in tracking down those responsible for the death of 21-year-old Liperial “Savon” Easterling.
Police have not released much information about the circumstances surrounding the case, but say they have reason to believe there may be two suspects involved. Police say a preliminary investigation has not revealed any connection to drug or gang activities.
Easterling had just returned home around 1 a.m. when, according to police, he was approached by one or two men at his front door, and was fatally shot.
Police aren’t sure if Easterling’s killing was random or intentional. They have no witnesses or leads, according to News Channel 5.
“Our detectives have a strong feeling that someone out there knows what happened and we’re just urging those individuals to come forward,” said Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department.
State, federal and local agencies are all working together on this murder investigation. Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Clarksville Police CrimeStoppers Hotline at (931) 645-TIPS.
