Shooting at South Florida home kills 3 family members; 12-year-old critical

Three people are dead and a 12-year-old is in critical condition after a shooting took place in Southwest Miami-Dade County, Florida.

(FOX)- Police received the call at 3:47 a.m., Sunday about a shooting in a home near Southwest 115th Avenue. Upon arriving, they discovered a 39-year-old woman and a 19-year-old girl dead inside the home.

Two other victims, a 17-year-old boy and a 12-year-old, were taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center. The 17-year-old boy later died and the 12-year-old is in critical condition.

Family members said the victims are a mother and three of her six children. They are also asking for the public’s help in finding the shooter. “We’re just picking up pieces of the puzzle,” said a woman. “Anybody got any information, please, I ask you, please come in. That’s a lot of bodies, please.”

Police are still investigating and have not yet released any information on a subject. However, they did say they have a strong lead on who the subject is. “Right now, our investigators are speaking with witnesses to see who they’re looking for and what information that can be released to the public at this time,” said a Miami-Dade Police spokesperson.
