Officials say they’re taking unspecified steps to improve safety after a Pennsylvania high school student found a security guard’s loaded gun in a restroom.
(WashingtonTimes)- That happened Thursday in Ringgold High School in Carroll Township.
The student immediately reported the gun, which was placed by a school administrator into a safe.
Ringgold officials haven’t identified the security guard and school district Superintendent Karen Polkabla says she can’t say whether the officer has been suspended or otherwise disciplined because that’s a confidential “personnel matter.”
The school sent home a letter to parents advising them of the incident. They didn’t immediately say how or why the gun was left behind.
