Yesterday the ATF Raided a Tactical Store in the Lake of the Ozarks. The owner was arrested and all guns were seized. The brother who owns a store next store claims it was entrapment and released a video on the matter.
The brother of a local gun shop owner is speaking out, over an ATF raid on Nov. 9, 2021 that he says was entrapment.
On Tuesday, Nov. 9, approximately 20 federal agents in full tactical gear—some with guns drawn—raided Skelton Tactical, in Osage Beach. The owner of Skelton Tactical is Jim Skelton; his brother Ike Skelton owns a locksmith business in an adjoining building.
Ike Skelton spoke on KEYK radio as well as Lake TV’s What’s Burnin’ with KB show, on Wednesday, Nov. 10. In the interviews, Skelton talked about the raid, and the circumstances leading up to it. He claims the ATF raid stemmed from a sting operation in which two undercover federal agents, a man and a woman, came into Skelton Tactical. The woman, when purchasing the firearms, indicated on the federally required background check forms that she was indeed the purchaser of the firearms, Skelton said. He said later when it came time to pay, the man pulled cash out of his pocket to pay. “She answered ‘Yes’ on every one of those forms,” Skelton said. “So in reality… she actually falsified the documents, to entrap him, I believe!”
He continued, “So what they’re saying, then, is that man bought the weapons, and not the woman who filled out the form.”
“She lied on the form!” Skelton said. “If she would have been honest on that form, he would have refused the sale, and we wouldn’t be here today.”
Skelton said he felt this incident was another example of a federal agency flexing its muscles and using intimidation tactics to exert control. He ended, “I want folks to know, that there is a time in this country that we’re going to have to stand up and just say, ‘No.’ That we’re not going to deal with these things anymore.”

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, ATF, raided the Skelton Tactical gun shop, in Osage Beach, at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
According to the gun shop owner Jim Skelton, approximately fifteen agents entered the shop, seven deep, in full riot gear, bearing automatic weapons.
“They questioned me as to how I had been selling firearms.”
Jim said the ATF alleges:
• An undercover agent purchased one of his personal firearms, out of his truck without background check.
• He sold a firearm to an undercover agent, without a background check.
“Two undercover agents, a woman and a man came into my shop to purchase a firearm. The woman filled out the proper background paperwork and purchased the gun. The ATF alleges the male agent purchased the gun. “How was I supposed to know she was buying it for him?” Skelton said. “If she would have told me she was not the purchaser, I would not have sold it to her.”
