A win for the Constitution and a loss for responsible gun owners begins tomorrow.
So, the NRA-ILA is reporting that, “Following a huge fight during the 2016 Legislative Session, Senate Bill 656 was enacted into law and the provision that will recognize Missourians’ right to Constitutional/Permitless Carry will go into effect on January 1, 2017.” (Read More)
Here is the “Catch 22” though. As much as this is a “WIN” for our Constitutional rights, it is also a very scary thing to think that people can just carry their legally owned firearm concealed.
Just because people have the “right” to do something doesn’t mean that some people out there “should”. At least, not without proper training. Experienced firearm enthusiasts, law enforcement officers, even Veterans know; that carrying a concealed weapon and needing to use it is a very dangerous and serious task.
Yes, you have the “right” to carry; but do you know “how” to carry correctly? Proper, safe training and safe practice, can mean the difference between Life and Death. I honestly believe that you can never have “TOO MUCH” training.
