It would seem cow farts are the least of our worries now. The benevolent bovines are starting to be radicalized by ISIS! Isis has begun to use cows in their attacks strapping them with explosives and herding them towards their intended targets before detonating.
FoxNews reports that two booby-trapped cows loaded with explosives detonated in a village in eastern Iraq on Sunday, killing one civilian, according to local reports. It marked the first time ISIS has weaponized cattle in recent memory.
The two cows were strapped with explosive belts and walked towards a military checkpoint in Diyala province when Iraqi soldiers opened fire on the animals, according to the Independent, which cited Rudaw, a Kurdish news site.
The weekend incident showed ISIS “has lost the ability to recruit young people and would-be suicide bombers, instead they are using cattle,” local official Saqid Husseini said.
The Diyala province is home to Kurds, Sunnis and Shias and is at the heart of the dispute between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Iraq, with both claiming ownership.
For its part, ISIS has taken advantage of the territorial dispute and has worked to re-establish itself there.
This isnt exactly unheard of. In 2014 Security agents have uncovered a new strategy by Boko Haram to launch terror attacks as the insurgents have now resorted to the use of cows for bombings. The Federal Government yesterday said with this new strategy, Boko Haram strapped bombs to cows and herded the cows to human settlements before detonating the explosives. However, the Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Omeri, who doubles as the Coordinator of the National Information Centre (NIC),who disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja, did not give details on where the insurgents had employed this terror tactic.
In November 2003, more than a dozen rockets were fired from donkey carts that slammed into Iraq’s Oil Ministry and a pair of Baghdad hotels.
Other rocket launchers mounted on donkey carts were found in Waziriya, a neighborhood north of downtown, and in all, weaponized donkeys have killed 14 people according to the NYPOST
