FORMER ST. LOUIS POLICE OFFICER PLEADS GUILTY IN RUSSIAN ROULETTE KILLING

According to Real STL News

Officer Nathaniel R. Hendren has plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in the shooting death of St. Louis Police officer Katlyn Alix in January 2019.

Hendren has been on house arrest ever since the unfortunate episode. He placed a cash bond of $50,000 and plead not guilty. Details about Alix dying from playing Russian Roulette was heavily questioned by many.

Allegedly on the night in question, Alix had left home upset with her husband and went to meet Hendren at his home. Hendren had left roll call and went home along with his partner, instead of patrolling the Shaw area.

Sometime after arriving to Hendren’s home, there was an argument that occurred, which lead to calls to authorities by a neighbor about loud yelling which sounded like a verbal altercation. Moments into the argument, a fatal shot was fired. Alix had went Hendren’s home multiple times before. Hendren admitted to being intimately involved with Alix and had plans on moving in with each according to court records.

Many are still speculating that the Roulette story is just a cop out and there’s a truth that needs to be told. He claims they were taking turns pointing a revolver at each other’s chest and pulling the trigger. When it was his turn, she was unfortunately shot. Hendren, his partner and Alix were said to have been drinking while allegedly playing the game.

Hendren was so distraught about what took place, he busted the window out of the cruiser he was riding in, after he rammed his head into it multiple times. Authorities say his eye injury came from the window, but it appears he was punched in the eye by someone instead.

Reportedly Hendren was once heard saying “I killed the person I love.”He was put on suicide watch immediately after the incident. Since Hendren has now changed his plea to guilty, if the judge accepts, he could spend up to 7 years behind bars. We continue to send our deepest condolences to the family of Katlyn. We hope your family receives justice.
