A father punched his baby to death after his mother could not stop him from crying, according to police in Maryland.
Prince George’s County Police said that they have arrested 32-year-old Antoine Petty, after being accused of killing 2-month-old Antoine Flemons.
His wife, 24-year-old Geneice Petty, was also arrested. In court, Antoine Petty pleaded guilty to first-degree child abuse resulting in death.
He faces up to 40 years in prison.
Geneice Petty has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
According to the police investigation, Antoine Flemons cried and his mother tried to calm him down. After she failed, Antoine Petty grabbed his son and dragged him outside.
He then punched his face until he died. Antoine Petty placed his son’s body in a Lincoln Town Car hearse and left him there for 24 hours.
The husband and wife then drove their son to the Parkdale High School, where they buried him in a shallow grave.
