A dog is being hailed as a hero after jumping into action to save many people who attended a wedding.
The incident occurred near the town of Maiduguri in Nigeria.
According to witnesses, a female teenage suicide bomber came to the wedding in order to blow herself up and kill the wedding guests.
However, the heroic guard dog pounced on the teen and did not get off of her until her explosives detonated, killing her and the animal.
Buba Ahmed said that guests are grateful that the dog sacrificed itself to save their lives.
He said that the teenage suicide bomber came to the outskirts of their village, where most of them gathered to attend a wedding ceremony.
Suddenly the dog pounced on the teenager and did not let go. Soon enough, they all understood why as the bomb exploded, killing the heroic dog while saving the lives of so many villagers.
