Police buy cookies to cover loss.
You have to be one of the biggest dirt bags on the planet to rob a girl and her mother, AT GUN POINT, while they’re selling Girl Scout Cookies!
What kind of P.O.S. does such a thing? Really?
NYDaily news reports though that the surrounding California community and it’s Police Officers have come to the rescue.
The robber initially appeared to be another customer approaching the stand the pair set up outside the Safeway and asked them about purchasing some cookies around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. He returned a short time later, showed them his handgun and demanded cash, police told KRON.
Neither the mother nor the Girl Scout were injured, but the suspect was able to flee through the store’s parking lot. He’s described as a black male between the ages of 16 and 19 who is around 5 foot 5 with a thick build. He was wearing dark clothing when the robbery occurred, the news station reported.
When Union City police officers arrived on the scene they donated money from their own pockets to cover the loss of the theft and ordered all the cookies remaining in the victim’s inventory, My San Antonio reported.
