Recently a proverbial shit storm of dick measuring proportion is taking place on a popular Instagram celebrity’s page… And if you are reading this you will INSTANTLY know whats going on, but for those of you who live in your lead lined bunkers, lemme sort you out real quick.

So what is really going on is a HUGE confusion with an ATF ruling made in 2011. Which states that :
The ATF has long held that by installing a vertical fore grip on a handgun, the handgun is no longer designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand. Therefore, if individuals install a vertical fore grip on a handgun, they are “making” a firearm requiring registration with ATF’s NFA Branch. Making an unregistered “AOW” is punishable by a fine and 10 years’ imprisonment. Additionally, possession of an unregistered “AOW” is also punishable by fine and 10 years’ imprisonment. To lawfully add a vertical fore grip to a handgun, a person must make an appropriate application on ATF Form 1, “Application to Make and Register a Firearm.” The applicant must submit the completed form, along with a fingerprint card bearing the applicant’s fingerprints; a photograph; and $200.00. The application will be reviewed by the NFA Branch. If the applicant is not prohibited from possessing a firearm under Federal, State, or local law, and possession of an “AOW” is not prohibited in the applicant’s State of residence, the form will be approved. Only then may the person add a vertical fore grip to the designated handgun.
This is relevant because The Man Spot is playing with a Kriss Vector that has a PISTOL Brace and what is thought to be a vertical fore-grip on the front of it. NOW what we can infer from the above is that without the proper paper work and $$$ that this is a flagrant violation to this ruling as the total length of the Pistol Braced Vector is around 24 inches, which can be found here…
NOW The Man Spot in all his INFINITE gun knowledge is saying that what he is doing is totaly OK, which if we go by the above rulling is incorrect, and for those of you that say “BUUUUTTTT the SUPPREESSSEERRR” may I refer you to THIS:

Remove non-permanently attached muzzle device…
extend /fold out shoulder stock to it’s extreme length
lay the firearm on its side on a table
blah blah blah
The OVERALL length of the firearm can be measured from the muzzle mark to the right angle corner nearest the butt of the stock, or the extreme rearward point of the firearm
Now The Man Spot assures us that HIS Kriss measures (with his “golden ruler”) at an over all length of 26 inches….
….Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn’t. But before you go following suit we strongly suggest you measure from the extreme rearward point of the firearm to the end of the fixed muzzle (not the suppressor)
which you can see is a pistol braced vector with a fore grip and no suppressor.
With that said The Man Spot seems to be handling the situation well, and by well we mean banning people and calling others idiots, and telling them they don’t know what they are talking about.
Now we love the Man Spot, and everything that he stands for, and we hope the ATF doesn’t shoot his dog.
Please remember in the future when asking for clarification on NFA laws, do not rely on social media “experts” or comments on their posts, please always, and only refer to the ACTUAL ATF DOCUMENTATION so that you don’t spend 16 years in federal pound town.
