It is no secret that the crew at SilencerCo are Top Shelf when it comes to product, and love of the Second Amendment.
A few weeks ago we even mentioned that their CEO, Josh Wladron was named to President Trumps 2A coalition. However we are receiving vague reports of trouble that is brewing.
While it has been confirmed that SilencerCo has had to enact some lay offs, we are getting scattered rumors from Gun Forums that the numbers are anywhere from 20-80% of staff has been laid off.
Here is what we know.
SilencerCo, manufacturers of the “Maxim9” have been actively meeting in D.C. to change hearts and minds when it comes to the Hearing Protection Act. This post is from their Facebook page.
Now, I don’t know Mr. Waldron personally, but his reputation proceeds him in the Firearm community. The man will fight tooth and nail for our Second Amendment rights.
The creators of the industry changing/ground breaking “Maxim 9” haven’t said anything yet. I am reaching out to them to see if I can get a statement in the morning.
But the elephant in the room that nobody is really talking about throughout the firearm community is this.
Are Firearm and accessory sales taking a hit because Hillary lost? Everyone was so ready for her to win and our 2A rights completely barraged upon, and it didn’t happen. (Thank God) Could this be a reason behind potential layoffs? Could the HPA be doomed, and this be a reason? Only time and SilencerCo will tell.
I really hope that everything is alright with SilencerCo, and things will get better to allow them the ability to hire back employees and continue making awesome pieces of American Firearm ingenuity.
