Police say that an officer has been shot in Kansas City, Kansas. The shooting happened near the intersection of 22nd and Haskell.
(FOX2Now)- Chief Terry Zeigler said the officer’s condition is unknown but encouraged people to “start prayers.” A tweet from Kansas City Police says, “Not again. Prayers started.”
Our sister station in Kansas City reports that the officer is listed in critical condition. Police say one suspect is in custody, and they are currently searching for another suspect.

Police have blocked off 18th Street north of Parallel until 24th Street in their search for suspects.
(KansasCity.com)- Police swarmed the area with dozens of officers, some with rifles. Several police were taking cover behind cars at 16th and Quindaro. A woman at a house there came out of a home with her hands up. Several officers were kneeling down in the street with their guns drawn.
The woman who came out walked up to an officer who was holding a ballistic shield. She stood and talked with the officers. Then she walked away from the officers about 10 feet away toward the home and appeared to be yelling to someone in the house.
This is the second police officer shot in KCK this year. The detective, Brad Lancaster, 39, was a nine-year veteran of the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department was shot May 8.
