Nydailynews states, a federal officer is suspected of shooting six people — killing his estranged wife and two others — in a two-day rampage in suburban Maryland.
Eulalio Tordil, 62, was taken into custody Friday afternoon after a massive police manhunt, authorities said.
Investigators believe Tordil’s shooting spree began on Thursday when he executed his estranged wife, Gladys Tordil, outside High Point High School in Beltsville.
Gladys Tordil, 44, was in her car waiting to pick up her daughters when she was ambushed about 4:40 p.m., Prince George’s County Police said.
The gunman first shot and wounded a bystander who had come to the helpless woman’s aid. Then Eulalio Tordil pointed his handgun at his estranged wife and shot her multiple times, authorities said.
As cops were still hunting for the suspect, three people were shot — one fatally — outside the upscale Westfield Montgomery Mall at 11 a.m. Friday.
The shooter, believed to be Tordil, opened fire on one person before striking two others who came to help, said Montgomery County Assistant Police Chief Darryl McSwain.
An unidentified man was killed, another man was critically injured and a woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Investigators had “no reason to believe the victims knew the suspect,” McSwain said.
