Do-gooders in Chicago who prefer not to arrest bad boys and girls or prosecute the few who do end up with bracelets are now attempting to extort money from automakers…
It’s similar to blaming gun manufacturers for violent crime.
If only we could sue prosecutors who don’t prosecute, legislators who don’t hold criminals accountable, and judges who don’t imprison serial offenders for monetary damages… Or possibly the Chicago Public Schools for failing to educate young people.
After all, if you don’t educate your children, they have little chance of acquiring a good job, raising a family, establishing a profession, and contributing to society.
Instead, the gang lifestyle is the only thing they have that is potentially attainable. And we all know how that ends.
From the Cook County Record:
Chicago City Hall has filed suit against Kia and Hyundai, pinning much of the blame for the city’s plague of car thefts on the automakers’ refusal to install certain anti-theft systems in many of their vehicles.
The lawsuit asks the court to order the carmakers to pay potentially massive damages to cover the city’s costs in dealing with the fallout from the surge in car thefts since 2022, as well as to punish the automakers for alleged deceptive marketing under a city ordinance.
These politicians have fostered a climate in which crimes go unpunished. As a result, crime thrives.
What about the people who live in Chicago? They’re going to get the government that the majority of them voted for…
