Samson Grip Blade Raptor Claw Review

The Samson Grip Blade Raptor Claw is a neat little invention that puts a super sharp American made blade tucked away neatly in your AR-15 grip. The downsides are that you must have a standard A2 Style grip OR a Hogue Grip for it to work. The manufacture claims that it will fit in “some Ergo Grips” but we tested in on 10 of them and no such luck. The Raptor Claw also will not work in a Magpul grip much to the dissapointment of thousands of users.

The Samson Claw is more than just a knife. It also has milled out areas of the blade creating a 1/2 inch hex wrench which can be used as a muzzle device tool. Another cut in the blade can be used as a bottle or can opener. Within the bottom locking mechanism conceals two spare firing pin retaining pins.

the blade itself is 420 stainless steel blade made by Lamson and Goodnow.

Installation tips. I recommend lubricating the O Ring prior to smacking it home. This will make it easier to withdraw. You may want to put it in and out many times to get used to it and to loosen up the seal a bit.

BE CAREFULL when drawing that you do NOT CUT YOUR OFF HAND which is danger close if you are holding the rifle by the grip.
